Aaron “CY” Tuesca Untalan completed his primary and secondary education in Hope Christian High School.

Not really convinced on what to take up for his college degree, he took Nursing in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) as a pre-med course. As a nursing student his professors would describe him as a unique crop. During his college days he fell in love with the nursing profession. Most of his principles are formed in his alma mater. He got the Clinical Proficiency award when he graduated. (Highest form of award in the clinical area)

Before taking his board exam he reviewed in Advent Review Center, even before passing the NLE this review center hired him to be one of their own reviewers in NLE, CGFNS, and NCLEX. This experience has opened his eyes in the world of nursing review. He became a reviewer even before passing the local boards.

He also taught in PLM and Olivarez College, as a Lecturer, and a Clinical Instructor. His students tag him as the “Philippine Wonder Boy of Nursing”.

He specialized in Communicable Diseases, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Health Nursing, and Orthopedic Nursing.

His special subject is Critical Thinking. He can stimulate the individual’s capacity to think critically. This skill is rare in nursing educators. Because of this special ability, he developed the “Three Levels of Strategies in Answering Nursing Examinations”. He claims that he can answer Nursing Examinations (local and foreign) correctly without seeing any questions, just the choices! Because of this, different institutions and individuals challenged his alleged skill.
He average 445 out of 500 items in local exams and 470 out of 500 items in foreign exams every time he is tested. Review centers sought for his help in increasing the chances of their students in passing.

He is also one of the pioneers of the on-line nursing board review.

His God given talent in writing manifested during his earlier years as a student. In college he received numerous awards in literary arts, essay, and poetry writing competitions.

At the early age of 21 he solely authored the Decypher Review Series, Fundamental of Nursing, Maternal and Child Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Medical Surgical Nursing. And because of this he became the owner of the Decypher Review Programs a company that caters the need of starting review centers. He helped a lot of review centers in achieving their goal, and developing their students.

He is the youngest and definitely the most trendy and up-to-date Nursing book author in our time.

He is also the author of the well loved books namely “Orthopedic and Bulalo Nursing”, “Concepts and Guidelines in COPAR”, “PUS-FILLED”, Nursing Board 101, “KUNA”, “Optimum and Prime Healthcare”, Psychiatric Nursing Bluebook”, “Medi-Surgi-Xing”, “Applied Pharmacology in Nursing” who are all best sellers respectively. His philosophies and principles furnish his books a different touch.

Aside from writing Nursing books, he also releases a variety of literary scripts, and books in a different pseudonym.

At present he busy in writing and doing nursing reviews, in both local and international locations, pursuing in building his own foundation which will help the patients in the children’s ward of different hospitals. And he is now engaging to study forensic science because of his frustrated medical ambition.
